As I looked at my Firefox screen after updating to the newest version, I wondered what could possibly be different/better/etc. I sat there and melted my poor brain over this for about 20 minutes, and combed the page for anything new.

Then, giving up, I happened to switch to a different dA tab and saw the settings box. WOW! :omg: I spent a good half hour figuring out and testing each and every aspect of this amazing new script, and now I present the most important ones (in my opinion) here:

Shortening Page Titles
:bulletgreen: An excellent idea, as I always have trouble reading what each tab says when I've got many open.
:bulletred: Nothing wrong!

Add Scrollbars to Long Comments
:bulletgreen: Already a great idea, but what made it even better in this version was being able to choose between 15-line and +30-line comments. More customization is a plus!
:bulletred: As only seen from a cynical and pessimistic approach, I could only suggest adding more lengths to choose from. Otherwise, nothing wrong!

Strip dA Redirecting
:bulletgreen: Excellent idea, as that thing was getting increasingly annoying.
:bulletred: I have yet to wonder if this will interfere with `electricnet's Embedded Redirect script, or if it'll override it completely.
:bulletred: It might be a problem if someone links you to a virus that you might've been able to catch in the URL, but didn't take the time to notice. Doesn't happen much, so only time will tell if that's a huge problem.

Log In, Redirect
:bulletgreen: Great concept, as I used to grow tired of having to click on my message center after logging in. My automatic Firefox bookmarks and password memory kind of took care of that, but you never know.
:bulletred: Again, nothing's wrong, although I wouldn't mind seeing more options to redirect to (Forums, Chat, etc.) in a future update.

Skip the Prints Stage After Submitting
:bulletgreen: An excellent idea, since I rarely submit prints and find that intermission annoying as well.
:bulletred: I know it's gonna nag me the one day where I submit a print, but oh well.

Overall, I most enjoy the fact that you can choose to enable or disable certain features (such as skipping the Prints Submission Stage) depending on your needs. This entire process will definitely ease future days here on dA, and I have an extra comfort: if my Firefox bugs out and makes me redo it all, I know that it'll only take me five minutes to configure it all again!

Two thumbs up for the dA coder extraordinaire!

Thanks for the very detailed critique. :) It's good to know you've given everything a thorough test.

On the subject of the number of options available for certain features, like scrolling comments and redirecting, this is the first version that's been so customisable and it's up to people like you to tell me what extra features would be desirable, so hopefully I get more comments like yours. Of course, I also have to balance out packing out as many options as possible with keeping it simple and suitable for the majority of users, so it's just a matter of time to see how it will evolve (and perhaps what other people will write for it).

For stripping dA external links, basically, all the scripts are going to go about this in the same way and executing the same routine multiple times, while inefficient, will not break anything. And of course we all know what lurks behind some links - I would hope that those with the intellect to use and install scripts and extensions are aware of the dangers of the Internet, and won't try to hold me responsible! (I'll probably make a note to add a warning message to that effect.)

Also, bullets and icons don't show up in critique in the message center for some reason. Would have been easier to read if I'd just gone to the critique page!
:icondbestarchitect:
Oh wow, yeah that might have been a tad difficult. :lmao:

I've never known that! You should report it to dA.
